'Happy Days' Craft Classes This is a list of provisional craft classes currently scheduled from January 2009, with more dates continuously being added. Please remember that we are constantly updating our lists, repeating & adding more classes, so please check our list regularly for any changes and additional classes. In addition to this, please inform us of any particular courses you would like to take part in, and we will notify you of the next available date. For further information on any of the classes listed, please telephone or email us. Workshops run from 10am til 4pm and cost only £18 per day. Our classes are small and friendly, with a maximum of 8 students per class (6 where a sewing machine is required.)
v ‘Leather Look Notebook’ (Brenda O’Carroll) Design a book cover using threads, 'Angelina' and machine embroidery. Decorate with fabric and glass beads. v ‘Sew-a-row’ (Catherine Tyler) Part 1 of 6-part fortnightly patchwork course based on the 'Sew-a-row' book by Karin Hellaby. v ‘Stick it! - Dangly Pins, Brooches & Charms’ (Karen Odinga) Discover how to combine jewellery findings and bead mixes to suit your own personal look. Create a safety pin drop brooch, scissor or zip charm and a stick-pin for your beaded jewellery collection. Get to grips with those head pins! v ‘Sew-a-row’ (Catherine Tyler) Part 4 of a 6-part course. v ‘Colourful Landscape’ (Brenda O'Carroll) Dramatic painted sky, created with fabric paints, dark trees, fields and bright fabric applique. Sample available to view in shop. v ‘Freeform Beading’ (Karen Odinga) Explore freeform Peyote beading to create a unique pin, bracelet or necklace. Experiment with beads to create texture in your work. v ‘Sew-a-row’ (Catherine Tyler) Part 5 of a 6-part course. v ‘Bijou Bag’ (Brenda O'Carroll) **NEW** Quick & easy fashionable bag to make, with lots of opportunity for you to add your own embellishment. Sample available to view in shop. v 'Beaded Buttons (Karen Odinga) Create unique beaded buttons with simple bead embroidery techniques. These textured buttons could be used as buttons, embellishment or jewellery. v ‘Sew-a-row’ (Catherine Tyler) Part 6 of a 6-part course. v 'Glimpse of Spring' (Brenda O'Carroll) Sample available to view in shop. As well as individual bookings we are able to accommodate private groups and are always happy to discuss requirements and available dates. Our workshops are all currently priced at £ 18.00 per day and run from 10am - 4pm. Classes are filled on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, and in view of this, we must ask for your class fee upon booking to secure your place. Bookings can be made in person, by phone or by post (please enclose booking form). Please make cheques payable to ‘And Sew On Fabrics’. Unfortunately we are unable to refund class fees unless the class is cancelled by ourselves. Please note, upon booking, you will be provided with a list of requirements that you will need to bring with you to the class, unless otherwise specified.
